Although I grew up in the eastern part of Canada, it’s Vancouver that won me over in the mid-nineties, and it’s still there I call home. So much so, that I’ve never returned to my actual hometown. Now an ex-pat living in Copenhagen, I return anxiously “home” on a yearly basis, and being a mountain bike enthusiast, I bring my bike along for the journey. Vancouver may have won my heart fifteen years ago, but it’s still the trinity of mountains in North Vancouver and their disciples (i.e. the famed riders) that fuel my imagination, along with the rest of the world’s. This is the place that redefines “technical”; where steep defines just about every trail, as well as the learning curve; the place that has sections of bike parks all over the world named after it (the “North Shore section”); has invented its own style of riding; has inspired trail builders and riders alike; and has been featured in countless mountain bike movies and videos. This is the place where you can push your own boundaries and hear your own “woohoo” resonate through the forest, and all in some spectacularly lush surroundings.

My apologies for the sloppy proof reading (ahem, none.) A few corrections for my own piece of mind:
1."the trinity of mountains in North Vancouver and their disciples..." should read "the trinity of mountains in North Vancouver and their disciples (the famed riders)..."
2. "where steep is just about every trail..." should read "where steep defines just about every trail..."
3. "reviewer" was misspelled.
4. "I was pretty happy to see him pulling some old school tricks out of his back..." was meant to read "I was pretty happy to see him pulling out some old school tricks..."
